We come here often and almost always have pie .. in fact I've often joked that the interstate exit should just read "PIE". This is one of those family owned place that we like to support. The menu is extensive and pretty much everything is good to great. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. But did I mention the pie!?! I'm a bit confused by some of the other reviewers who had great things to say about the Rose Garden but still gave it only 3 stars. I guess they're like the "Russian judge" .. stingy with the 5s. Hey folks, you're not comparing to haute cuisine, rate it for what it is.

This place is delicious and very reasonably priced. The hamburger steak with onions was delicious and you always have to finish with a slice of pie. Mmmmmm!!

I love a good mom & pop restaurant. This certainly holds up! We had the breakfast, which was pretty incredible. Can't go wrong with a country ham omelet that comes with biscuits and gravy! Service is a little slow only because it's all made to order. Hospitality at its finest!!!! Will have to come back sometime for a meat and 3 and a slice of pie...

Amazing southern meal! You get a lot of great food and it's not very expensive. They serve breakfast all day, but make sure to get there before 11:00 because that's when they stop serving biscuits and gravy

We grabbed drinks and sausage and biscuits on the way to the lake. The food and coffee were great and so was the service.

Awesome. The fried chicken was fantastic and the sides made for a very hearty meal. The only thing better than the food was the service. This was well worth the hour drives from home! We will definitely be back!

My hubby and I are new to the area and this was the first restaurant we checked out. I was a little skeptical at first with it being right behind a gas station, but boy am I glad we gave it a try. We have been here twice now and tried different things. Their meat and three is a great choice and also really enjoyed their cheeseburger and BLT. The service is fast and friendly and I would highly recommend this place to locals or out of towners. Just stop off I-40 @ exit 273 and you won't be disappointed!!

Very laid back place. Food was very good. I had the country fried steak special. It could have had a little more flavor but I wasn't dissapointed. Prices are moderate, portions are big. The cornbread was light and fluffy with a hard shell. Excellent. Dont go if your in a rush though. The server was also running the register so you had to wait for her to take orders and deliver them to the kitchen and get drinks, etc for tables before she gets back to the register to cash you out. They dont give you your check at the table, you ask for it at the register.

We found this little family restaurant on Yelp while traveling between Nashville and Virginia. This is a good, easy stop right off of the highway if you're looking for basic diner/family restaurant stuff like pancakes, pot roast, pie and coffee. Service is friendly enough, and also slooooow. (There's a sign in front proclaiming that they are NOT a fast food place, so there you go.) Their basic diner food is just what you'd expect. Pancakes and sausage were good. We took a piece of chocolate cream pie to go, so I was pretty happy when I remembered that when we hit traffic around Knoxville. There were some boys at the next table getting massive plates of meat with sides, and I think the special board said that they were around $6 or 7 bucks, so you can eat a lot here without spending very much. 3.5 stars, but they take debit/credit so 4 it is.

Service friendly, hamburgers ok, the Big Breakfast was a xcellent and the beef stew was great. Ladies restroom clean, men's was dirty and had no soap.

Good home cooking reasonably priced. Biscuits were great, light and fluffy. Had eggs with fried bologna and the country ham. Would definitely recommend.

This quaint little restaurant called the Rose Garden is our favorite place to stop and have brunch when we visit the Center Hill area. Their homestyle breakfast is served all day. On the lunch menu, they have a fried burger called the Chuck Wagon that can definitely cure any of last nights bad habits. As a matter of fact, I have never seen a bad looking plate. The service is similar to that of your grandmother's kitchen and the homemade desserts such as chocolate pie, pecan pie, and the like will melt your face....in a good way. I highly recommend visiting the Rose Garden. Tip: Sundays are extremely busy.

Country cooking, meat and three specials were $6.50. Fair prices and friendly staff. Definitely not health food, but cooked fresh and convenient to i40. Fried okra was the highlight of my plate. Took a star for dirty bathroom with no paper towels.

This place is hidden behind a gas station, but the friendly staff and tasty Southern cooking made me glad I stopped here.

Great country cooking at VERY reasonable prices! Two huge meals for well under twenty dollars. For example, a big hamburger, home fries and a drink for $5.90!
